The Chateau staff are simply the best. I was greeted by Sonia who helped me to my room after greeting me with a delicious glass of port. The room was spacious as was the en suite with all necessary goodies. Breakfast is very good with a large selection and the evening meals are absolutely fabulous with a large wine and spirit selection. It was my birthday whilst I was there and I was treated to a large plate with "Happy Birthday written in chocolate and a fabulous piece of cake with a candle, everyone sang happy birthday as well. It is literally a two minute walk to the harbour/beach and the Rozel pub which has excellent food and drinks. Walk the other way up the lane and the woods hold Red squirrels which are a delight to see. A beautiful old building and a pleasure to stay.

We stayed in a superior room on the night of our wedding. It was such a special place to stay. it was beautifully furnished with grand wide bay windows and a private balcony. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Breakfast was fantastic with a great range of continental and cooked options. We sat in the conservatory which was so peaceful with pretty surroundings. We enjoyed sitting on the chairs outside on the terrace by the fountain after we had checked out. It was so quiet and tucked away that it made a relaxing escape after the busy weekend we had had with the wedding.

Staff excellent. Bedroom suite a little disappointing very very low sloping roof to.bed area meant very difficult get into/out of bed with out hitting the ceiling. Anyone over 5'6 would struggle. Also bed was a small.size double. Balcony good and the setting was exquisite. The public rooms were delightful and very elegant Very attentive and pleasant staff

If only all hotels paid such attention to detail and service. Restaurant quite pricey but they owned the local pub a few minutes walk away. Food and service there was excellent and we ate there again. Must add I have never checked in with the offer of a sherry or port from the decanters on the desk, great touch.

The superior room we had included a balcony and was very spacious and had a wonderful feeling of grandiose. The bathroom included a shower and a Jacuzzi bath. Then of course there's the restaurant! The food is DEVINE.....what more can I say.
